Wheelpower Racing Wheelpower's Kelvin Reilly scored another podium finish in the latest round of the KTM Superduke Battle, run alongside the Moto GP at Donington Park.

Fridays practice session was run in the wet, as had the rest of the days GP practice. With the outlook for the weekend to be more rain, it was vital for the riders to get a good wet setup. Reilly quickly got dialled in, posting the third fastest lap.

In Saturday's qualifying session, the riders had their first dry track time, and had to quickly adapt with only 25 minutes to set a fast lap. Reilly again qualified well to put his InMoto Corse KTM on the front row of the grid for the third time in succession, taking third position with a time of one minute 44.089 seconds.

After Valentino Rossi and company had entertained the hundred thousand strong crowd, it was time for race five of the KTM championship.

Reilly made a good start, and by the end of the first circuit was running second. On lap three, however he was passed by flying Fin Pauli Pekkanen. Pekkanen's pace was too hot for Reilly to match which left him in a fight for the final podium position. Holding third for most of the race it looked as though Reilly had blown it with two laps to go, dropping to fifth. After seeing the red mist, Reilly upped his pace to take back third position and the final step on the podium.

Reilly has dropped to third in the championship standings but still remains in contention for overall glory, just 19 points off the lead. His next outing is at Mallory Park, Leicestershire in four weeks time.
